STR Club is here!
I received my first package today for the 2007 Rockin' Sock Club. I was a member last year and loved it, and this year promises to be even better. :)
The color is called Monsoon, and the pattern is a neat cable and ribbing combo. However... I still haven't finished my sock kits from last year. I'm going to continue working on those for the time being (Hippy Crunchy sock #2 is on the needles now!) and see how long I can resist the temptation.
Now for another order of business, the WIP of the month. I was thinking the Ribbed Ribbon Tank, which really is a cursed project that may end up frogged if I can't find a coordinating yarn, but I'm not sure where I put it. Somewhere safe. ;)
Also, I don't post a lot of pictures of my kitties because #1. This is a knitting blog and #2. They always move or get yellow-eye or something in pictures. But today Mr. Pan was sleeping and looking especially adorable, so I present this kitty picture:
Miss Java couldn't be outdone, so when I decided my WIP of the month - Cherie because I did want to knit more sweaters this year - she decided to jump into the way right when I took the photo.
So there you have the "before" picture of Cherie, our WIP of the month. Another reason I picked this one is that, like Hush Hush, it has endless stockinette so it makes a good project while I'm watching Netflix or catching up on my DVRed TV.

Ooo ooo oooooooo!!! I can't wait to get home and check the mail!!!!
Oh... and I like kitty pictures!
CRAP!!!!!! Damn you, Bloglines! It popped up and I saw the picture before I could avert my eyes! And I've been so good about staying off of people's blogs.......
Where's my kit!!?? (I'm nervous - I never got one or twelve of the "your package has shipped" emails, and I'm all afraid I got lost in a shuffle.)
I don't have mine yet! I can't wait, I want mine now, now, now!
MINE'S NOT HERE YET!!!!
I'm jealous! Well, at least I know what the kit will look like now. I've gotta finish my bro's socks so I can cast on as soon as I open up the package! I'm chomping at the bit. Love the pic of your kitty all curled up!
I'm waiting for mine, too! I'm just an hour north...perhaps the kind postlady will carry it to me on Monday??? :( I couldn't resist looking at the photo of the first sock kit. Thanks for whetting my appetite for the yarn!
Kris
The first club package, how exciting! I heard they give tips on how to avoid pooling, don't suppose you'll willing to share that info? I couldn't join this year but I spent about as much just ordering STR anyway.
JIMMI! what are you doing on that lady's blog. oh, sorry, having moments of delusion. your Mr. Pan looks exactly like my jimmi, lol. i did a double take, as he was sitting next to me when i saw that.
(he's named for jimmi hendrix, hubbie is a musician, lol)
Woohoo! I got mine on Friday, too. All last year I kept kicking myself for thinking "Oh, I really shouldnt join another sock club." I am really glad I went ahead and did it this year. I started my sock already. :-)
The new sock yarn looks sooo purty!~
Mr. Pan is gorgeous! Mind you I'm biased since he looks just like my cat, only about 7 pounds lighter.
Good words.
