I think Ishbel was a hit!

When I knit something as a gift, I'm always a little nervous. What if the person doesn't like it? What if the person just doesn't really care?
Before I put in the effort of knitting Ishbel for my friend Christina for her wedding, I asked her if she wanted me to knit her a shawl - she said yes. I showed her some pictures and she picked this one. Sadly I was miles and miles away from her and her dress, but I picked a color that I thought would work.

It's hard to tell in the pictures, but the color of the shawl matches the lace detailing on the bottom of the dress. :)
I got so many compliments on the shawl, and she looked great. Her mom was especially impressed!

Since I was busy being a bridesmaid this weekend, I didn't get a lot of knitting done. I did, however, make some progress on Herbivore on the plane. If I was going to use the measurements in the pattern I'd be almost done, but as I have a lot of yarn at this point, I think I'll just continue til it's almost gone.
