You make my day!
I've been knitting quite a bit this weekend trying to finish *something* and make myself feel a bit accomplished. And I kind of did. I finished my Claudia, but it was too big to fit my little head. I ripped back to a little before the decreases and am decreasing again now. Hopefully I can get pictures of it out in real sun sometime soon - the yarn is a fairly light natural sheep color and I think I need good light so the trellis pattern shows up.
I also worked on my Serendipity socks, BFF socks, and the class socks. And they're all in various states of not-quite-completion. Look for a few FOs this week if all goes well.
And on the meme front:
I've been double-tagged for the "You Make My Day" award. Thank you to both Omly and Rae who said that I make their day.
First off I'd like to say that I read a LOT of blogs. 287 feeds in bloglines, to be exact. And I read *all* of these blogs because I like something about them, so it is very hard narrowing it down to 10. I'm just going to list the first 10 that come to my head in no particular order and hopefully not offend anyone. ;) I left out my IRL friends I see all the time - not because their blogs aren't good or they don't make my day but because I link to them all the time and it was more of a challenge without them.
1. MJ makes my day in many ways, both via her blog and via IM. She's one of the sweetest people I've ever 'met' online, and she designs a mean hat too. ;) In fact I was teasing her the other night because she's an overnight sensation with Claudia which has been/is being made by 23 people on Ravelry while only one person has started either of my sock patterns.
2. Aija always has something beautiful and tempting to post.
3. Jenneke knits really pretty stuff and was an amazing sock pal to me in the KBSX2 swap.
4. Ysolda has pretty pictures and great designs. And I kind of want to be her when I grow up. ;)
5. Stephen was a great fellow sock-camper and I really enjoy reading his blog even though it's not always knitting related.
6. Mintyfresh has knitted dodecahedrons. Need I say more?
7. Sarah is awesome and even helped me pick out my fleece at Rhinebeck. Plus she has sheep and knits truly beautiful things.
8. Kris is someone I'm lucky enough to know in real life, but I keep up with her knitting on her blog. She's very prolific and makes tons of pretty sweaters.
9. Zanti has cute cat pictures and knits pretty stuff too!
10. This 'boring' blog is not, in my opinion, very boring. And she posts a lot. And cute cats.
No need to feel tagged if you don't want to be, folks. I'm not really the tagging type.
